Royal Wedding Celebration
As I am sure you are aware, on 19th May 2018 the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is taking place. We would like to give all children the opportunity to celebrate this happy occasion here at Larkspur on Friday 18th May.
The school will be holding a celebratory formal lunch of roast chicken breast with Yorkshire pudding and a selection of vegetables, finished with ice cream for dessert.
We request that all children “dress to impress” in their best party clothes to mark this special event, but please do not feel the need to go out and buy anything new. £1 donation towards a treat for each child would be gratefully appreciated.
We plan to hold a series of exciting celebratory activities throughout the day including designing lunch place mats, researching the history of Royal Weddings, learning good table manners and etiquette, making special buntings and playing good old “British Games”.
Please ensure your child has their PE Kit in school on this day.
We hope the children will learn a lot about the Royal Wedding and can explore an exciting time in British culture.
