In this ‘Battery Operated Lights’ unit we had the opportunity to enhance our knowledge and understanding of electrical systems. In this unit we developed understanding about series and parallel circuits and different
types switches. We were then given the chance to apply our knowledge about electric circuits in a purposeful way by designing and making a battery operated light which will be controlled by a homemade switch. We decided upon the design criteria for the light by considering who will use it, where it will be used and what for. Finally, we completed a detailed evaluation of their final product.
Our final decision was to make night lights.

We found out how technology has changed over the years. We did an activity to match lights with their description and ordered them in chronological order.
