Larkspur Community Primary School

Growing Towards Tomorrow

Headteacher's Welcome - September 2025

Hello and a very warm welcome to Larkspur Community Primary School’s website. My name is Katy Anglesea, and I am thrilled and deeply honoured to be the Headteacher here at Larkspur.

Having spent the last 22 years working in education—as a class teacher, Deputy Headteacher, and Acting Headteacher. I’m excited to be leading a school that already feels so special and full of potential. It’s a privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff, wonderful children, and supportive families.

Larkspur is a one-form entry primary school, offering a caring and inclusive environment for children from Nursery to Year 6. Our vibrant Nursery welcomes children from the age of 2, with both morning and afternoon sessions available, helping our youngest learners get the best start to their school journey.

Set in spacious and developing grounds, our school is a safe and happy place where children are encouraged to thrive. We are lucky to have a team of committed, skilled staff who go above and beyond to make sure every child feels valued and supported. Our facilities and resources enable us to deliver high-quality teaching and provide memorable learning experiences, both in and out of the classroom.

At Larkspur, our ethos and values sit at the heart of everything we do. We want every child to achieve their very best, academically, socially, and personally. Every child is unique, and we work hard to nurture their individual talents, encourage their curiosity, and help them develop confidence, kindness, and resilience.

We are proud to be at the heart of our local community. Working closely with Larkspur House, our families, and local organisations, we aim to enrich our curriculum and provide our children with exciting opportunities and real-life experiences. Building strong links with local businesses, sports clubs, and community projects is something we’re passionate about.

Our pupils make us proud every single day. Their determination, enthusiasm, and caring attitudes truly embody the spirit of Larkspur Community Primary School, they show us what’s possible when children are given the chance to shine.

To any new parents and carers: thank you for considering Larkspur for your child. We believe that the best education happens when families and school work closely together, and we look forward to building a strong partnership with you. If you’d like to find out more or see our school in action, please do get in touch to arrange a visit. You’ll always be warmly welcomed by the children, staff, and myself.
