Billy had always been curious. One sunny afternoon, he was walking down Elf Road when he saw an unusual wooden door in the brick wall. The metal handle was shaped like a dragon’s mouth. Gently, he turned it and the door creaked open. Inside, there was a huge, dark hall....
We are learning about the story Elf Road. This is a really fun portal story. We worked together in a big group to practice our model text. We used actions and the story map to remind us of the story. We all gathered around the big story map and suggested which actions would help us to remember.
Elf Road
As part of our Elf Road topic we enjoyed practicing the text map. After practicing the actions in small groups we did it as a whole class. The actions really helped us to remember the text.
