HALF TERM HOLIDAY
We would like to ensure that all children are adequately protected against the sun and therefore wish to remind parents/guardians to send their child in to school with their water bottle, a sun cap or hat and to apply sun cream before he/she comes to school when the weather is hot and sunny.
We also encourage you to send a bottle of sun cream into school with your child’s name marked on it for them to re-apply by themselves should they need to.
Thank you.
As you are aware our Year 6 children will be taking their SATS very shortly (May 14th - May 18th). We will continue to hold booster sessions every Tuesday. In addition, at a request of the pupils, we will also hold an additional booster session every Wednesday (3.15 - 4.15pm) from today 18.4.18 until their SATS. Should your child wish to attend, please ensure arrangements are made with them to be collected or walk home from school after the session.
Thank you.
Dear Parent / Carer,
We’re here to help you keep your child safe online
O2 and the NSPCC have joined forces on a mission to help all children and their families in the UK stay safe online. Together, they’re offering useful tools, support and guidance to help parents and carers have frequent conversations with their children about their online lives.
Our free online safety workshop for parents and carers
We would like to invite all parents, carers or family members to a free online safety workshop at Larkspur Primary School at 2.15pm on Wednesday 25th April 2018. The content covered in the workshops is aimed at adults.
The hour-long workshop will help parents, carers and other adults understand their child’s online world, build confidence to have those important conversations that can help keep children safe online and help you know where to go for help and advice.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Please complete and return the reply slip sent home with your child by Monday 23rd April to confirm your attendance.
Thank you.
Advance warning of Local Government Elections Nursery Closure
The Local Government Elections take place on Thursday 3rd May 2018. The School Early Years classroom is going to be used as a polling station this means that Nursery children will be unable to attend that day.
However Reception children will attend and will be working with Miss Graham and Miss Rutherford in the Year One Classroom.
Hopefully by giving everyone advance warning it should minimize the inconvenience caused.
Thank you.
