If you are concerned about your child or another child in our school, please speak to any of the above staff who will try their best to support and advise.

In school we have a culture of safeguarding.  We do many things to ensure our children are safe and educated about keeping themselves safe.  We do this in a number of ways:

  • Assemblies
  • PSHE curriculum
  • Police workshops for contextual safeguarding issues
  • Group support and individual support from the Family Support Workers
  • Annual NSPCC assemblies and workshops
  • Kidsafe Programme
  • Online safety training
  • Newsletters and information shared with parents via the school app or Facebook
  • Regular safeguarding training to staff and governors
  • Child Protection and Safeguarding policy
  • Behaviour policy and procedures
  • Information sharing with appropriate agencies
  • Referrals to other agencies

We also ensure we respond to contextual safeguarding issues within the local area to ensure our children and families are kept safe and informed.

Please see our Safeguarding noticeboard at the school's main entrance for further information.

Online Safety Fact Sheet

Online Safety with Y5 and Y6

Pupils in year 5 and 6 took part in an online safety workshop led by Tony Nicholson, Safeguarding consultant from Clennel Education.  Here, pupils learnt more about keeping safe online and shared current concerns and questions together.  Following this informative discussion, pupils in year 6 put together a series of 3 videos outlining how to stay safe online.  Take a look on the video resource centre.

Online Protection.

Impero Software is installed on all of our school computers.  The Head Teacher and ICT co-ordinator are alerted when any inappropriate behaviour or unsuitable websites are captured.
