Home Learning Timetable Spring 1 2022

Nursery / Reception Home Learning Daily Timetable

This is a suggested timetable to help give some structure to your day.

Obviously nursery children should have time to play in between these tasks.

Each week there will be a project to complete and daily tasks will be provided in a learning pack. Phonics writing letter formation for tasks can also be found here.

During ‘story time’, parents/carers and children could share a story book from home or from online (for example an e-book from Oxford Owls website).

  • Be sure to make time for children to play in your garden/yard to get some exercise & fresh air if possible.

  • Read a variety of books at home. Favourites can be repeated. Hearing the patterns of language in a story will support your child’s language development.

  • Watch a Numberblocks clip each day at: BBC or CBeebies.  Use this guide here to give you ideas on what to do with your children whilst watching an episode.

  • Practise counting up to 20. This can be done through playing hide and seek, singing number songs, chanting, board games etc.

  • Write out the digits 0 - 10.

  • Practise recognising amounts up to five or up to ten by playing these games. This can be done by reading a dice when playing board games, playing with cards, identifying how many food items on the plate etc.

  • Sing Number songs to practice counting, reciting numbers in order, one more, one less using number songs: Five Little Ducks, Five Little Men in a Flying Saucer, Ten Green Bottles, 1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a fish alive...
