The Larkspur Den is a welcoming, supportive space available to children during lunchtime. It offers a calm environment where children can take a break, seek support, or simply enjoy some quieter moments in their day. The area is equipped with jigsaws, games, arts and crafts, and other relaxing activities designed to help children feel settled and refreshed before returning to their afternoon learning.

The Calm Cabin is a dedicated space that children can access during break time, lunchtime, or whenever it is needed to help them regulate their emotions. It provides a peaceful environment where children can take time to read, unwind, or use calming activities—such as playing the drums—to regain their sense of balance. The Calm Cabin is designed to support children in managing their feelings so they can return to class feeling settled, focused, and ready to learn.

Our Nurture Sessions with Mrs Bunn take place every Friday afternoon and provide targeted support to help children develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. Each week focuses on a different theme, offering activities and discussions that encourage children to explore their feelings, build social skills, and strengthen their emotional wellbeing. These sessions create a warm, supportive environment where children can grow, reflect, and feel valued.

Our Thrive Sessions offer structured, nurturing support to help children develop their social and emotional wellbeing. Guided by Mrs Bunn, who has completed Thrive training, these sessions use a range of activities tailored to each child’s needs, helping them build resilience, self-esteem, and emotional regulation skills. Thrive provides a safe, supportive space where children can explore their feelings, strengthen relationships, and develop strategies that benefit them both in school and beyond.

Our Sensory Circuits are designed for targeted children to access at the start of the school day, helping them get ready and focused for learning. The circuit is made up of four areas: the alerting section, to wake up the senses; the organising section, to improve coordination and focus; the calming section, to regulate emotions and attention; and the integrating section, to combine sensory and motor skills. These activities support children in feeling prepared, confident, and ready to engage fully in their day.
