Our Curriculum
Together, we learn for life, believe we can and make sure everyone belongs
🌟 Curriculum Vision Statement
We inspire our pupils to be curious, confident, and compassionate learners who are ready to thrive in a changing world. Through meaningful learning experiences, we help children develop the skills, knowledge, and values they need to succeed beyond the classroom.
We nurture a belief that every child can achieve their best, encouraging perseverance, ambition, and self-belief. Our inclusive and supportive community ensures that everyone feels valued, respected, and connected, fostering a strong sense of belonging and responsibility to others.
Our vision is for every child to leave us as a lifelong learner — confident in who they are, excited for what lies ahead, and ready to make a positive difference in the world.
Our Curriculum Drivers
🌱 Learning for Life
We make learning real.
Our curriculum is based on equipping children with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to thrive beyond school. It focuses on curiosity, independence, resilience, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
In the classroom, this looks like:
• Lessons that connect learning to real-life situations and future skills (e.g. problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking).
• Pupils taking ownership of their learning through reflection, goal-setting, and self-assessment.
• Teachers modelling a “growth mindset” — celebrating mistakes as opportunities to learn.
• Projects and cross-curricular work that show the purpose of learning.
• Independent and collaborative learning tasks that build confidence and curiosity.
💫 Believe You Can
We believe every child has limitless potential.
Our curriculum focuses on self-belief, aspiration, and perseverance. It encourages children to have confidence in their abilities, to take risks, and to see themselves as capable of achieving great things.
In the classroom, this looks like:
• Teachers encouraging pupils to “have a go” even when the task feels challenging.
• Positive language and feedback that reinforce effort, not just outcomes.
• High expectations for every child — with scaffolding and support so all can succeed.
• Pupils setting personal challenges and tracking their progress.
• Celebrating achievements big and small, helping children to see themselves as learners who can.
🤝 Everyone Belongs
We celebrate diversity and include everyone
Our curriculum promotes inclusion, respect, empathy, and community. It reminds pupils that they are valued, that their voices matter, and that our differences make us stronger.
In the classroom, this looks like:
• Classrooms where all voices are heard and respected.
• Teaching that reflects and celebrates diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
• Collaborative learning that fosters teamwork, kindness, and empathy.
• Restorative approaches to behaviour and relationships.
• Opportunities for pupils to contribute to their school and local community — showing that everyone has something to give.

Curriculum Coordination
Subject coordinators have carefully constructed their curriculums collaboratively with support from the SLT, coaching programmes, INSET sessions, LA training and keeping up to date with latest guidance and curriculum developments/research. They have also used moderation to inform their provision with a large focus on pupil voice through evaluation and discussion.
