The facts…

Parental involvement in school is the first step to parental engagement and, ultimately, parental partnership. When parents and teachers work together to establish a thriving classroom, the effect on their students is profound.  There have been many studies to support this advice.  Over fifty different studies on parental engagement, educational researchers found a connection between family involvement and academic achievement. The earlier educators establish parental engagement, the more effective they are in raising student performance. Parental partnerships formed during the early years of school life build a strong foundation for student success and future engagement opportunities.

We love Larkspur Day

On ‘We Love Larkspur Day’ we invite parents into school to support their children.  This is a wonderful experience for the parents to  see the children working in school. It is also good for the children to welcome their parents into school and experience the fun activities we have.

Science Activity Day

Oh what an amazing day this was!

There was a carousel of challenges in the school hall.  Each class had time in to try out the activities.  Parents were invited along to support their child and even learn something new themselves.
