Growing Towards Tomorrow

Parental Involvement

Parental Involvement

In the Early Years we aim to build strong relationships with children's families. We aim to communicate with parents and carers on a daily basis when they drop off and collect their children.  We value their input and encourage them to be active participants in their child's education within the setting.

Stay and Play

Parents and carers are invited into the setting for a stay and play session each Wednesday from 9 till 10.  We also hold a family story session each Thursday from 11.45 for Nursery children and 3.00 for Reception children. Please speak to a member of staff if this day is not suitable for you and we will be happy for you to arrange an alternative day.

Informal drop ins

Within the Early Years the children's learning is documented within their learning journeys. These books are a celebration of the children's achievements. We welcome parents and carers to drop in to look through the learning journey with their child and discuss their child's progress with the staff. The children love to show off their achievements!

Volunteers welcome...

If you have a few spare hours a week we would love you to come in and help. We are always needing people to help hear children read or support children in their play and it is a great opportunity for you to see what your child gets up to each day!

Do you have a hobby such as gardening, woodwork, knitting, cooking etc that you could share with the children or help work with us on projects within the school? We would love to work together with you, please speak to a member of staff to discuss further.
